EKOROB Project Informational and Educational Meeting during Eco Picnic held on 01.06.2014 in Twarda
On 01.06.2014, in Twarda, an informational and educational meeting was held under implementation of EKOROB LIFE08 ENV/PL/000519 Project, which was addressed to the local community. It was held during an eco picnic co-organised with Tomaszow Mazowiecki Municipality.
The main objective of this meeting was to change behavioural patterns into pro-ecological ones in all social groups. That is why reaching the target audience with the appropriate communication was so important. It has facilitated dissemination of the eco-information among all the social and age groups through combining know-how with hands-on activity.
For this purpose, EKOROB Project informational material in the form of leaflets, which demonstrate innovative highly effective ecotones whose application in the catchment scale contributes to achieving the good ecological status of the Sulejow Reservoir water, was presented.
An educational Help Desk was organised for the youngest participants of the picnic, where animation staff from the Education and Civil Society Development Foundation delivered eco-workshops for children and youth. They included Faunoflora game to check children’s knowledge in the field of protection and saving of water. In a laboratory, children could learn how the pollution from fields and households flows into the Sulejow Reservoir, and see the outcomes. During the meeting they could also learn about animals and aquatic plants, find out their secrets and ask questions about their habits. During art activities, children could listen to stories that have made them more sensitive to the water protection issues. Just like during the previous events, the agenda contained a lot of games, puzzles and prizes for our eco-workshops’ participants.
