Picnic with EKOROB and Barkowice CUP – a Beach Volleyball Tournament, held on 01-02.08.2015
On 1-2 August 2015, an informational and educational meeting in the form of a family picnic, which was addressed to the general public, was held in Barkowice under LIFE+ EKOROB LIFE08 ENV/PL/000519 Project.
Apart from entertainment and sport emotions created by the exciting matches, the picnic participants were able to learn about outcomes of EKOROB Project implementation. An information and education stand was available during the picnic, where the participants could get familiar with the structure of highly efficient ecotones on the Sulejow Reservoir and results of research publications on diffuse pollution produced in the Pilica catchment.
Competitions and educational games on the environmental protection and the Sulejow Reservoir were organised for children. The right answers and involvement were awarded with EKOROB Project promotional gadgets. The youngest participants could also take part in a demonstration of water sample collection from the research sites as well as test water themselves.
During the picnic, a ‘Survey of the Sulejow Reservoir local community and tourists’ perception, satisfaction level and attitude towards the implemented project’ was also delivered, and its results were used to conclude the project and opinions of the Sulejow Reservoir residents and tourists.
Barkowice Cup 2015, a beach volleyball tournament under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of Sulejow Municipality, was held during the picnic with EKOROB. On day 1, ladies teams were playing and 13 pairs participated, while on day 2, men, represented by 19 pairs, had their matches.

3rd place – Iza Stobiecka / Maja Daleszczyk (Sulejow)

MVP - Patrycja Włódarczyk (Bełchatow)

2nd place – Karol Małagowski / Artur Patura (Piotrkow Trybunalski)

4th place - Piotr Majchrzak / Bartek Zieliński (Piotrkow Trybunalski)
